This is the Citadel that was made in the late 1700's by a French educated Haitian man. He thought that someone was going to attack and wanted to be able to see all around. It is near Cap Haitian on the North part of the island. No one ever came to attack and the lives of thousands of slaves were lost in the building of the Citadel.
