Great weekend.

This weekend turned out to be a lot of fun. Today after church we had an English class and played baseball. It was really funny! They had never played before. Sam was just starting to teach them. We had to tell them when and where to run, how to put their gloves on, everything. A good time was had by all 6 of us, yep, that makes it 3 men teams!

We also had an English class yesterday. I got to tell the Bible story and one of the more advanced students translated it. On the way home we picked up some concrete blocks for the toilet my Haitian family is putting it. Then we went to the house and I met the kids and saw the house. It is rough but liveable. The kids seem very sweet. One of the neighbors hanging around the house had torn the hide off his ankle riding so we took him home to doctor him up. While he was still here a man brought his cow for us to look at. It had started calving but pulled it back in, he said. Sam felt the calf said it was alive so we put it in our corral to watch over for him. I also got to give my first shot here. Someone brought a little colt with breathing problems and I had to give it penicillan. We think it has a broken nose or something but the medicine had helped some before. He had just a hint of blood coming out. It's in the corral with the cow for us to watch over. Exciting stuff!

Church today was interesting. Very long. They sing all their storying songs, everyday. It took an hour. One day I will understand and it will be better.
