Prayer for my neighbors...

We got this prayer request this morning from our regional prayer director and I thought I would share it with you.

“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” Psalm 9:9


On the Caribbean island of Cuba, there has been an outbreak of dengue fever. Please pray that the current medical precautions being taken will be effective, and the fever will not continue to spread over the island. Ask the Lord for provision of medicines to treat those in need.


On the neighboring island of Hispaniola, there has also been a dengue fever outbreak in the Dominican Republic. So far there have been over 2,800 confirmed cases in the country with 33 confirmed deaths from the disease. According to Keith Wagner (one of our DR m's) none of our IMB personnel have been affected. Keith does report that two adults were infected in their apartment building and that many Dominican friends who have been affected. Pray for God’s continued protection of our missionary colleagues and His protection of the Dominican people.
